Hi, I’m Kristin and I write this blog called W [H] A T C H.  Thanks for coming over.

This is a blog about where I go and what I see.  There are a lot of ways to travel, but a particular favorite of mine is by foot, mostly in the form of running.  Races have become one of my favorite excuses to travel, so you’ll find stories from some of those here.

There a lot of travel books and city guides out there, so my plan isn’t to make this another one of them.  Instead, what I hope you find here are anecdotes to tuck into your pocket should you find yourself in one of the cities I’ve travelled to.  From cappuccinos and popsicles to races and running trails, I’m always on the lookout for the experiences that let you experience what a place is and the treats you can only experience right where you are.

I post here on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.  If running is of interest, I write a column called Long Run most Fridays.

Please do say hello at kristinwhatch [at] gmail dot com.  I’d love to hear from you.
